I'm looking for a place near Polanco, Zona Rosa (where I'm working) I've been checking the usual, in my free time; compartodepa, segundamano, mexico city craigslist... Not seeing anything great. Actually, I would be happiest with my own place, but being a "newbie", I don't have the inside information.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You could try walking around neighborhoods that appeal to you and look for "Se renta" signs. Also, if your Spanish is pretty good, you could ask local merchants (and locals) in those neighborhoods if they know of any available apartments. In my neighborhood (Colonia Cuauhtmoc, a few blocks in back of the American Embassy), the Superama has a big bulletin board just outside the entrance with lots of listings for rooms and apartments for rent.

MO I think Im staying in your neighborhood... Rio Ganges y Lerma? But I haven't seen a Superama yet!

Everyone I work with knows I'm looking for a place. My Spanish isn't good, but you're right. I get up so early, I just want to be close to work in the mornings (Polanco)!

Leo,

I live on the other side of Ro Tiber, near the corner of Ro Nazas and Ro Po (sometimes Poo). The Superama is near there. Send me a PM for more details - I'd be happy to give you a tour of the neighborhood and maybe give you some leads.
