|
|
Just this question: once I get the paperwork in (photos, health check, etc.) & the govt. is processing the ARC & Work Permit, do I have to go on another visa run when the 60-day visa expires?
For example, if the 60-day non-extendable visitor visa expires on Aug. 1, but the ARC isn't back to me, do I have to leave Taiwan to get a new visitor visa? Or does the ARC processing allow me to just stay in Taiwan and wait for it?
Thank you. I have a month left, but the school's not sure it can get the visa done by the time my visa expires.

| from my experience, u dont need to make a visa run. u've already got the arc in process so just wait till it arrives and go pick it up. the 60visa is just red tape to keep you in country until ur ARC processes. the 30day landing visa is not enough time to process the ARC, thats why they added the 60day. i wouldnt worry about it. |

| Same here. As long as the paperwork is with the government before your 60 days is up, you need not make a run. Good luck! |
