I am trying to get information on the Huashi School in Jiangying,Jiangsu. They have a web site ,but it is only in Chinese. Also, any information on the Jiangsu Educational Services for International Exchange. I would like to work in China, but all of you have me scared. All I ever hear are horror stories. |

Sorry, I don't know anything about the school you mentioned, but I'm assuming it's under JESIE, right? It's the Jiangsu Provincial Eduacation Bureau. I've taught for them in their summer programs twice, most recently last summer, and they are up and above board all the way.
Best wishes! |

Carken: Good to hear that. I have been offered a position with them, and had a good feeling right away. Now I will definitely take it.
To Deer..., yes, I haven't heard as many horror stories about China as I have about Korea. I think if you stay away from private language schools, you will be okay. Those are a bad deal anywhere in the world. I taught one semester in a Canadian/Chinese venture and it was okay-got paid on time and fairly, etc. |
