I think the question should be :"Can I get my Saudi visa in the UAE ?" That depends on your employers. Ask them. If your visa can be issued in the UAE then you can go ahead. If not................If you are getting your Saudi visa in Washington DC you would be better to have your medical in the USA ! |

Since you are resident in UAE, it should be no problem, you can get your medical exam and visa in UAE. Just check with your employer that they send your visa number to UAE not USA. |

Actually, I think that the question should be, "If you live in the UAE, why in the BLUE BLAZES, do you want to work in Saudi Arabia???"

You'll have to do another medical when you come to Saudi anyway.
The medical for the visa must be done in the country that issues the visa |

I agree with Stephen Jones. Everyone that I know who had a medical exam in a GCC country prior to coming to Saudi Arabia has had to repeat that medical exam upon arrival. I don't know if some employers require that you have one prior to coming or not. I do know that it seems you must have one once you are in-country. Therefore, I wouldn't go to the trouble to have a medical done prior to entry unless it is required by your employer.
BTW, the medical exam that I had once I arrived was a joke. A blood test, a urine test, and a very cursory examination. I know for a fact that people with some very serious conditions have managed to pass the medical due to the "wasta" of an employer who was desperately in need of faculty. |

A medical test is needed for the visa.
Like that test, the medical test on arrival is aimed at screening out infectious diseases. As long as you are not going to pass on your ailments to a Saudi it doesn't matter if you are on your last legs. |
