Hi everyone,
I'm new to this discussion board. I'm planning to teach English in Japan in June or July. I've just found out that I will have a telephone interview with the WinBe English School. Has anyone had experience with this school? Good/Bad? Let me know. I'm Canadian and currently live in Toronto. If anyone has any useful tips for Japan, please let me know. |

Yeah I'm in the interviewing process with them. If you search a bit they have some fairly bad reviews, just like the other chain schools. I guess you can always get there and walk later.. |

thanks for the post, reactionary. Do you have any suggestions? Is it worth it to get an interview with them? |

everything seems pretty average. one plus i'll say though, i've been fairly firm on my placement request, and they seem to be willing to accommodate me. i'll have another phone interview next week. |

do you think they would be willing to accomodate both my boyfriend and I? I'm concerned about them giving us an apartment where we can both live. He's a lot more qualified than I am to be an ESL teacher (he's a high school teacher who's qualified to teach English). |

Hi ESLgeek,
Why not just go through with the interview? At the very least it will be good experience for future interviews. |

yes, Caliroll. I definitely agree with you. I will do the interview. I'm waiting on some other jobs as well, so who knows? I might find something better. I think experiences with different companies can be subjective- some like them, some don't. |
