Hello all

A fairly straightforward question, I hope at least

I have a CELTA (pass B) don't know if this counts for anything

One years teaching experience (business and general English)

but... No degree to keep me warm at night!

Is it at all possible to to be able to enter an Asian Country (Korea, Japan, china etc) and earn a good wage ( talking saving money ). However I'd prefer to live and work in China but money is a priority at the moment.

or what country could I get into without a degree but earn a good income?

I'm currently in South America and the wages aren't that good here, I'm saving roughly $400 p/month thats with a 20hour per week teaching job and 4.5 hours (also weekly) in private lessons.

Ideally I'm looking to save $800 + Twisted Evil

Your thoughts, experiences and recommendations would be highly appreciated

Thanks in advance.

Korea plus Japan no. China with some instutites that are in places that most don't want to live yes.

Money about 4,000 RMB a month plus free accommodation etc. You have no chance of saving $800 a month.

I'd say no,but because you haven't a degree for Korea and Japan, and technically China. That takes you out of the race.I'd say there is a small chance at saving $800 a month, but you won't be doing it as a legit ESL-er.

china might not be a good place to come without a degree this year. they are getting a lot tighter with visa regs lately.
