|

I am based in HCMC, and a couple of teachers are telling me that the Summer school programs have a lot less students enrolled for this Summer.
Is this accurate? Or, is this an exaggeration?
There has been a lot of talk about the economy this year.
At -your- school, are student class sizes decreasing? Are enrollments down?
I'd appreciate any thoughts or comments. |

Not true in Hanoi. Look at the ads on Dave's for Hanoi. ALL the schools are looking for teachers because of the massive enrollments.
As I said in a previous post. NOW is a very good time to find work in Hanoi. |

This is very encouraging, but I have also heard that due the economy many people from the surrounding areas who came to HCMC to work and learn English are having to flee the city and return home, thereby reducing class sizes and cutting teaching jobs. Any truth to this??? |

I don't know about people leaving the city and returning to their hometowns oustide of HCMC.
But in my school, a large language school, class sizes have shrunk enough to notice, and we are talking about it.
Is this a trend for the year? We don't know. But we do, notice it, now. |
