I tried to PM two different people and it says that there is no such username. Do they expire if they aren't used? |

I think they do. If you don't log on for a while I think the user account becomes deactivated and the user needs to contact Dave Sperling to get it re-activated once more.

That reminds me. I have something this seems a good place to ask.
When I joined, I couldn't find out how to. It took some work to eventually become a member. Since I've joined nearly a thousand other people have signed up and the member total is somewhere approaching 5000 people. That is huge and nearly 90% of them must be dead if they are deactivated if they don't login.
ANyway, I had to employ some tricky backdoor stuff which involved technical knowhow of forums to get access to a signup page. Is everyone party to this same technical info? I doubt it. So, how have the thousand other people who have signed up since I did managed to do it if there is no register button on this forum? |

My old username expired after about two years of inactivity (I think it was two years anyway).

Good observation! I had to search the board for "how to register" to get signed up again. I found a few threads on the newbie board dedicated to this topic. Why the signup page is so hidden is a mystery to me as well! |
