If anybody has any info, a rough guide, it'll be most appreciated. I know everybody is different. Ex. living in Thailand - I take home 23+K + freeaccomodation - usually save avg. 10 - 15K, usually go to Koh Lanta at least once a month.

Also, accomodation for me and my son, rough estimate per month, and schools....he's 4+yr - International, Bilingual, Whatever, Personal opinions about schools, and then I can check them out.

Thanks to anyone, or everyone, and maybe one day soon I'll see you in Bandung.

Om. Shocked

Google the schools and then contact them.

Really, you cannot expect people to figure out your approximate expenditure. These inquiries are ridiculous.

Sorry.

You're not very friendly or helpful on here are you. Too many coconuts?

It's not working out MY expenditure......You F****** W*****!

It's about how much you spend. Do you go out, eat western food drink beer every night, do you go to Bali once a month etc.

There's an expat site about Jakarta which gives you an idea. Housing, So much - So much. Also, expats with kids. Type ov school, So much - So much.

sorry?

he3

You can make nearly $10, or 20 per hour with Celta. Mc D pays the same back home now.

2k per month seems to be a source of pride in Indon, but we blame EF .

Save your money,
Cheers,

As with most places in Indonesia, if you can get an Indonesian such as someone from your school, to talk rentals, it can often result in the costs being halved. I am not even aware the schools provide housing for teachers in Bandung. Maybe someone else knows.

The city was steadily becoming less liveable when I was there, and trying to get into a decent restaurant on the weekends was hopeless, as they were filled with the rich from Jakarta. It must be worse now with the speedway/flyover finished.

Going out after school on week nights was always an option of course.
