enough said. accepting PMs and encouragment.

hehe. Surprised I will be finding out one way or another how it gets done. I've done plenty of scanning and searching of the forums but it looks like no one has posted about this precise situation. which is fine.... I am in Florida but took CELTA in Toronto. Am taking up my job with IH Mexico City on July 7th. I have a feeling things will not be resolved by then.

cheers

edited topic to be more precise.

I received my first apostilled document last week and the process took six days start to finish. After lamenting on the forum that it was a lenghty and complicated process, and reading some of the replys, I rethought my logic. On June 6, I took my diploma from a far away state into Kinko's, told them I needed a copy with a notary seal on it. They made a copy, had me sign the copy and then affixed their seal. I took it to the post office immediately and sent it to my state Secretary of State and six day later on June 12 I had it back with the apostille affixed. Good luck.

PMing you right now with everything you need to know mosquito Laughing

Hmm just realized I should just include all the info here.
After notorizing the documents (I believe this has to be done in Canada), they have to be legalized by the Board of Foreign Trade in Ottawa.

After legalizing here, certificates should be forwarded to a Mexican consulate or embassy for legalization by them. Here's a link to the site of the Mexican embassy Ottawa.

http://www.sre.gob.mx/canadaingles/

Both sites are very helpful and tell you everything you need to know.

Yeah I was just reading Florida's Procedure for Document Authentication (Apostilles) and if my school can accept a notarized copy it looks like this process will be pretty simple and very similar to yours, tdyc. I am awaiting a reply from the school about this. However if the apostille must be affixed to the original document that's a different story.

B, well, I guess I'll respond in PM.

I'll try to keep quiet about this now and just give an update later.

Thanks to you both!
