I was wondering what people think is the best way to pay your student and/or any debt while in Japan or Korea. I am working on getting a job aboard but i was wondering what is the best way to get money back to the US. Any cost effective advice would be nice or even information on international banking. I have heard one suggestion of using Paypal.
Thanks in advance for all post. |

This question comes up quite frequently on these forums. Try the search function and you'll come up with the answer you are looking for.
Here's just one thread, but there are many more:

I use the post office and send money directly to a bank account in th U.S. Takes about 5 or 6 days to process. |

You can easily pay student loans while in Japan. I'm an American and pay mine. you can have your mailing address changed to your address here in Japan. The easiest thing is to allot a certain amount of money from your salary to automatic pay transfer from your American bank account. You can use Lloyds or something similar to transfer funds every couple of months and basically put that in your bank acct. then transfer over to student loans. You get some sort of small discount for paying directly every month I think.
Anyways check it out!

Hope that helps but it is also very early here and my brain isn't quite functioning right... |

Ohh thanks, i already pay for the loan online, so thats no problem. i was wandering about what other companies do the transfer thing. I am having trouble locating these type of businesses and also i am looking into Korea, so something that might work there would be good to know too. |
