Ok I have a BS in Education and a Teaching License. I have found no TEFL courses within driving distance - and they are expensive anyway. I could take an online course - but really don't consider it that valuable. My state requires teachers to take 6 credit hours (not CEUs) every 5 years to recertify our license (they also have to be in very specific areas of study and by certain types of accredited colleges or universities.) So I have found a course I can take at the graduate level to recertify my license and wonder how schools overseas will consider it's value when applying to jobs?
Eventually I could continue and get a masters with this college as well.
Money is an issue currently so this course/class could do 2 things at once -get me recertified and be used on my CV.
Any thoughts? |

There are accreditied schools in the United States (e.g. University of Massachusetts) that have graduate-level online courses and even entire degree programs.
Since you already have a B.S. in Education and a teaching license, you're already in a position to get some of the better jobs overseas. Anything more is just icing on the cake unless you're hoping to teach at the university level. |
