|
|
I will be taking my family to Bahrain for their KSA resident visas this week, and have been told you can no longer do the paperwork yourself, but need a visa agent. Does anyone have a contact for a good fast agent so I can get everything done quickly? I have the yellow slip (for the embassy) already.
Does anyone have a recommendation about where can I get their medicals done quickly, and how much it will cost?
I also posted in the Bahrain forum, but I guess more people this side of the causeway would know about these things.
Thanks for any advice. |

Have noticed that there have been no responses. Would be glad to help. However, leaving for Qatar on a short visit, tomorrow. Pls. PM with details, since I don't understand why you need to come over to Bahrain to arrange for a Saudi residency permit. The "yellow slip" thing is also lost on me. If there's any I can do on my return, I'll be glad to help you out.
In the meanwhile, the American Mission Hospital sounds like a likely place where the meds. may be done. If not, then it's only the Salmaniya Hospital (the govt. one). |

For the information of anyone who may need to do their family's visas in Bahrain.
You must now get an agent to lodge your forms. You can't do it yourself (which is a small but expensive mercy, trust me.) There is a list of phone numbers on the consulate door. I noted down about 6 numbers, but all of them were out of service or for some reason or other couldn't do it that day. I finally got one agent, Hilton Estates, tel: +973 17514461 who processed three family resident visas for Dn46.500, including embassy and their fees. Their office is on Exhibition Ave and is easy to find. It is close to a number of hotels, we stayed in the Metropolitan which was Dn35 a night for a suite, which we all fit into OK with a mattress on the floor.
Before you get your medical, ask the agent which clinics you can use. We went straight to a clinic on arrival that had been used by another teacher on embassy instructions a year or so ago, however this was apparently now unacceptable. We had to get another medical (Dn64). Rather than give you the clinic name, better to call an agent beforehand and make sure you use a doctor they will accept.
I needed a translation into Arabic of my marriage certificate, but the kid's birth certificates weren't required. Also one photo each, the agent filled out the form, and the visa could be ready in one day. However the embassy is having troubles with their computer system so it could take several days.
Bottom line is get in touch with an agent before you go, to save time and money once you are there. You could PM me for more agent telephone numbers if you wanted to shop around, I don't specially recommend the agent we used but then I can't complain as they got the job done fairly painlessly. |
