Hello Everyone! I am in the process of researching what types of vaccinations I will need before I go to Argentina. I have had a Hepatitis A and all the other standards. According to my reserach, it is suggested that I still get vaccinations for Typhoid and Tetanus-d.
My question is - how important, or imperative, are these vaccinations. I am really trying to save all the money and am considering skipping these. I think I already know the answer, but...would this be unwise?
Thanks |

Before arriving here 2 years ago I checked with my doctor and he said the only main risk down here was Malaria, if you plan on going to Northern Argentina where it's very hot.. However down here in the city of Buenos Aires, it isn't really an issue. I've had no vaccines or boosters ect.. before coming here.
Except for having a few really bad colds (it's normal - your body will try to adjust to the locals bugs), I've had no problems..
Mucha suerte, S. |

Thanks for your input Sabine! I haven't talked it over with my doctor because I haven't been in a while. I try to take good care of myself - eating healthy e.c.t. and I'm only 22.
Also - Is the city in the water OK for non-natives to drink? Or should it be boiled first? I read that tourists who are staying for a while should get vaccinated for typhoid. I think that is something that is transmitted from raw foods and water. |
