I was wondering what are generally considered to be the best cities to live in in Japan, and what I should put down if asked where my preferences are?
I realize some people prefer rural areas and others like big cities so there's no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but are there cities you would recommend/not recommend? I have an interview next week with Amity and was just hoping you all might have some advice.
I spent 2 weeks in Japan in April and my favorite city was probably Hiroshima, since it was big and lively but not bananas like Tokyo or Kyoto. I liked the few days I spent in Takayama, but I think I'd go bonkers if I had to live in a city that small for an entire year.
Any recommendations? |

When people ask me where is a good place to live, the first thing I do is ask in return, "What kind of weather/climate do you prefer or hate?" |
