Does anybody have recent, specific information on how many laptops we can bring into Vietnam? I have an enormous amount of teaching material on them, and I would like to use them when my family and I go there.

One of ours was bought in Saudi Arabia and used there for about 5 years.
Another was bought in America, used there and in Saudi Arabia for 2 years.

A third was bought brand new in Saudi Arabia and has not been used yet. Its still in its original packaging. This one wed like to give as a gift to a friend.

Ive never had any problem bringing in large sums of money; I just declared it. When exiting, it was no problem. No bribes, no luck involved, no fixer.

I was just wondering what the rules are regarding laptops. Any recent, specific information would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Very Happy There shouldn't be any issues about your laptops. From my own experiences I've found that Vietnam is becoming more flexible in the customs department. However. you will need to declare cash.

A taxi from the airport into district one should be no more than one hundred thousand dong. The meter should read no more than sixteen thousand dong depending on which taxi company you choose. I prefer Vina Sun.

If you feel you're being "taken for a ride", then always mention that you may have to call the police.

When eating in restaurants make sure the menu has a price list.

There are many wonderful experiences to obtain in Vietnam , but one does need to be aware.

I realize that I overwrote here. I wish you a very happy and safe time while you and your family are here. Very Happy
