After finishing 2 years teaching in Japan and Korea, I would love to have a final fling with ESL in Vietnam from December to March before return home to begin a career in something else. I just have a few questions...

1. From what I have read it is possible to turn up and get a good job. I want to teach adults. How much money can I expect per hour with 2 years experience? (no celta or other official qualifications, just bachelors degree)

2. Is it cheap to get set up in Vietnam?, everything will be very temporary, as I will only be staying for a few months. Maybe it will be more cost effective to live in a hostel.

3. Is Vietnam expensive nowadays? I read about teachers complaining about the huge price increases a few months ago.

4. I want to go to Ho Chi Minh city, so it would be great to chat to some people about it through e mail, or Skype.

5. I currently work for Wall Street in Busan, Korea. If anyone has any questions about Wall Street, Korea or Japan I will be happy to answer them.

Nick

Anything under $16/hour is too low

It's very cheap to get setup in Vietnam. A room and motorbike is all you need.

Vietnam is not an expensive place. Many of us complain about prices bec we compare them with when we first came here.

Would love to work in Korea, but gave up trying after attempting to get a visa for my wife through the Korean Embassy in Ho Chi Minh City.
