				hi,
 
i am going to be working in japan for a year with Aeon. after that i am going to enroll in grad. school back in the states.  has anyone ever gotten letters of reccomendation from their old bosses from teaching in japan? how have they worked out? |

Check what your grad school wants exactly. I think mine asked very specifically for academic references and one (out of three) had to be at my last institution of higher study. So I chose the other two people from those who knew about my teaching. I didn't ask my Japanese boss as much as I respected him because he couldn't say much about my teaching. I ended up asking the DoS and a colleague who had observed my lessons. It worked out fine.
