Hello

I have read on here about some people having Vietnamese bank accounts etc, would I need one to get paid? I taught in Honduras last year and just got paid in cash. I must have presumed the same would happen in Vietnam. Can anyone offer me any advice please anything will be appreciated?

Cheers Razz

Rachel

Most language centers pay cash. But if you work for a school that wants to pay you into an account. It is a simple matter of walking into the bank and opening one. Passport needed no questions asked. I would recommend opening one anyway even if you were on a short term contract. Leaving large amounts of cash in a hotel or anywhere for that matter is not a good idea.
Lots of banks to choose from. Most banks have someone that can at least speak some English. So don't stress and just take care of it when you get here.
