Hello!
My girlfriend and i are really interested in teaching in asia. i am from the US and am hoping to find a job teaching english. my girlfriend is from Chile and is hoping to find a job teaching spanish. i was wondering if anyone might know if there were many opportunities for teaching spanish in asia? thanks very much for the help, ty

Spanish is not the most common foreign language taught in Japan, but there are a few courses here and there. Assuming your girlfriend meets immigration requirments for a work visa, she should look into Berlitz first. A few conversation schools might have Spanish classes, as might high schools and colleges, but she will have to have a full-time job to get the work visa.

After a year of FT work with one employer sponsoring her visa, she could consider a string of PT work (perhaps even more lucrative) with what is dubiously called "self-sponsorship", but cross that bridge later.
