10 days away, and doing the packing thing.
I have a decent set of older K2's that I love, and have gotten good use out of here in Seoul - esp. with all the new bike paths that have been built of recent.
Completely unsure if there is anywhere safe/comfortable to blade there. I am NOT a hardcore racer or tricks guy; I just enjoy it, but would rather leave them here with a friend than drag/ship them along for nothing.
Thanks!

Can't imagine where you would use them in Brunei - no bike lanes, no smooth concrete. |

Thanks for the reply, but over the past few days, I answered my own question
Since everything seems to 'shut down' in the evenings, there are lots of places to skate, between some of the better roads, and the larger plaza areas around the shopping malls & public buildings.
I actually ran into a handful of agg/stunt skaters & boarders over by the Brunei hotel the other night, so that was encouraging.
Cheers!

Yes indeed!
In fact, I caught an ad/blurb in the Borneo Bulletin yesterday, stating that there will be a skateboard demonstration/contest right in the festivities surrounding the Sultan's birthday this week.
What I can't quite figure out yet is where everyone goes & what they do at night. It may be, in part, that I am living basically IN the Central BSB area, and it is mostly offices here.
But with the number of Malays, Filipinos, and Indonesians I have met so far, I am surprised that they don't have more gathering places in the area. Being a dry country explains a little, but I would still expect to see more people out later in the evenings, around the smaller restaurants and coffee/tea/dessert places.
I'm sure that will come with time. But in a way, it is sort of nice - and as an Indonesian worker with BSP reminded me earlier today, weekend trips are always an option.
I wish there was a bus that went directly out to the Empire - it is funny that there is one right from the front door to BSB Central, but not vice-versa. I'm looking forward top the open beach party there on the last Sunday of the month.
Cheers!
