I just got a contract in my e-mail and it was literally less than a page long.
This contract only says min/max hours, salary and rules about not misbehaving.
My current contract (in South Korea) is 22 pages long and very clear about everything, can some long timers tell me if this short contract is normal.
Is this normal? Should I ask to write in things like start/finish times, holidays, etc etc?
Also, any thoughts on Kojen, yes I searched but this search function continues to be the dogs balls.
Thanks for the help.

Is the emailed contract from Kojen? They were my first job here, 3 years ago, and I still have my contract (oddly). Beware the "Employee agrees to make her/himself available to teach any schedule compiled by an Academic Director..." For me, arriving in June, that meant class from 9-12, mandatory unpaid training at some random time , class again 4-7 and 8-10. Speaking of dogs balls. But other than that, the management and system was not bad.
I did get well-trained, but it sounds like you're already getting experience in SK. Shoot for a higher-paying company--the chains tend to be around NT580 now, according to my friends at Hess and Kojen. |
