Sorry to bother you all but I keep getting different answers from each person I ask. Can you send dry goods (food) with your shipment into Indonesia? I have some different dietary needs and it would sure be helpful if this is possible. Sure appreciate any words of advice from any of you veterans! Also if you can send food what things would you send that are tough to get in Indonesia? Thanks for taking the time to respond!

I can't see that you'd have any problems bringing in food. I often brought back from Australia and Singapore, supplies of breakfast foods, cheese and jam, and there were never any hassles.

Most of it was available at Kemchiks (Sp?) in South Jakarta, but once I'd moved way out of Jakarta, it was not available in local supermarkets. Also Kemchicks was not at all cheap.

If you do a visa run to Singapore, PM me and I'll give you the location of a place that stocks a lot of good food from Oz, and not too expensive compared to imports from Europe of the USA. If you take an almost empty suitcase out with you, you can bring back 20kg of supplies

Sadly, wine was limited to 1 litre per person, and that is not cheap in either Singapore or Indonesia.
