Is parts or all of Facebook accessible in KSA? I'm thinking of joining a Facebook network for my workplace and city of residence. Is it worth the time spent to set it up? |

Well, Facebook is accessible in the magic kingdom, and is very popular among the Saudis. It is estimated that more than 50,000 Facebook users, including myself, are registred in the magic kingdom
But, the 'blacks' of the magic kingdom are against Facebook!
"Conservative clerics in Saudi Arabia are railing against Facebook, calling it 'a door to lust,' and a strange story surfaces about a girl who was allegedly killed by her father for using the social networking site."

That's good. Even my workplace has a Facebook network.
If and when the "blacks" here do anything about banning Facebook, I hope only parts are banned like "Single and Looking" or other such sections. For the most part, it is a way to find other expats in KSA. |
