Why do recruiters think that prospective teachers are stupid? They advertise jobs and if you immediately apply - the job doesn't exist - but the low paying job no one wants does.
Or they let you go through the application process and then the job mysteriouly disappears - but they have another job (half the pay and no perks) that is just perfect for you.
They want you to sign a contract that is open - you might get over there and then that job no longer may exist - but here is this job that pays less and has no benefits.
Then there are the ads - offering huge amounts of money in the title and then you read it and it is a lot less money and perks. Or there are 8 weeks of vacation but then you read it and you really have to do 8 weeks of winter/summer camp instead.
They just waste their time with these ads and games - just tell the truth - that is how the schools will get the best teachers for their schools.
But how would these schools or recruiters like it if the applicants lied? |

Perhaps
I am finding it frustrating and time consuming. My time is just as valuable as a recruiter and/or school.
Just tell the truth in the ad. Don't pretend you have jobs you don't.
Don't suck me in to apply for a job that has just been posted - to get me to accept a job that has been posted for months that no one wants.
Don't have ads that have huge salaries and/or vacation times posted - when those conditions do not exist.
Your wasting my time and yours.
Simply be honest.
Recruiters and schools check out the applicants to see if we tell the truth - applicants check out the schools and recruiters the same way. |

Are you going to give some examples of your sorry plight, or do we just assume that every advert is a conspiracy against you set up by the people who planted bombs in the World Trade Centres and killed Diana, in Roswell, behind the grassy knoll? |

I'm sure that lying in ads isn't uncommon. Lying in job applications is at least as common.
It's a sad fact of this world; if you want to avoid being screwed, you have to check.
Trust, but check.
