The following excerpted from a story in today's Gulf News about a shortage of 98-octane petrol. Excuse me *sniff sniff* but this is such an emotional trauma for me to read. Won't someone please think of the Jumeira Janes?! Have some empathy.

"Sorry our tanker is empty" was reply given by attendants working at these stations.

Jannet Anderson who drives a Porsche said: "My car was running on reserve fuel. I was on my way from Al Barsha to Sharjah and had a tough time getting Super 98 petrol. The Emarat petrol stations at Defence roundabout, Garhoud as well as the one located opposite to the Festival City was did not have any.

"A concerned attedant from one of the Emarat petrol stations than asked me to check out with their stations located on way to the Dubai airport road. I was lucky to get the petrol over there."

Yeah really; if I meet one more Jumeira Jane or Joe I'll throttle them with my bare hands... Twisted Evil

In fact, on the India forum, Jan 27, 2008, Stephen Jones recounts his approach (emphasis mine) to happening upon obnoxious people.

"...When I was in New Dehli in 94 there was a character in Connaught Place whose sole method of sustenance was to put shit on your shoe. I was waiting outside a disco and he surreptitiously put shit on my shoe and volunteered to clean it. I'm not dumb and after I'd grabbed him by the throat and pushed him against the wall he decided to clean it for free.

Unfortunately he had rather a bad memory and did the same thing ten days later in the middle of Connaught Place. After I started to beat him up whilst passers-by and policemen turned the other way he agreed, complaining but somewhat shaken, to clean it off. When he had bent down to do it and his head was hovering over the topsole with dogshit on it I gave him a sharp kick covering his face with the dog turd. He immediately ran off..."

It has taken me years to realise that words have little or no effect on selfish, petty Jumeira Jane and Joe types. Beatings, throttlings and punchings from now on. Laughing
