Thanks for the link!

When it first hit the streets again we were buying it fairly regularly, but then it became nearly impossible to find! The only place I now see it is in Sanborns. And considering that I never go there . . .

Wonder how long this will last?

Good news. This is an excellent midrange newspaper and very useful for business classes. I've already seen it as one of my students wanted to use it in class, and it seems to be even better than before.

I hope it lasts awhile...a friend of mine just got a job as a copy editor there.

The paper is very useful for classes. Readily available, current, and with local content in English, it's something students themselves can pick up, with a little encouragement of course.

The Miami Herald-International Edition/Mexico was a better paper. It was cheaper ($7 vs $10 pesos) and it had a wider distribution. Yet, they stopped publishing about a year ago.

The News is OK, but they have a lot less content in my opinion about Mexico, as most of their stuff is just picked up off the wire services. If they start to really publish some more in-depth coverage of Mexico, then it will be worth buying everyday or even having a subscription.

Guy, you are right. I used the Miami Herald in classes and I have started using The News as well. I always encourage my students to buy the newspaper in English and to read it. Not an easy thing to do as many people here don't read much of anything including newspapers. Just look at what El Universal did by publishing El Grafico (the cheaper, easier to read El Grafico is great for learning Spanish though!).
