I've seen that HCT has advertised several times now in the past few weeks. I'm wondering if this would this be for an August '08 start, or January? Seems like with all the paperwork and processing an applicant has to go through, even if they interview quickly, it doesn't leave enough time to get the new employee there in a month.
Does HCT respond to general inquiries? Would anyone at HCT be around now in HR to answer questions, or is everyone gone for the summer holiday? |

They can get you there in a month. No problem. |

HCT can and is hiring for the fall. They would get you interviewed, the visa's, and the airfare. You would need to get things authenticated, but if you want to wait you can get it when you get to the UAE. |

Thank you both for the responses.
What all is involved in getting things authenticated? And isn't there something like a security check? Does a person have to provide some kind of police report? Anything else? |

Hey 777
you need to get 2 things once you have been offered a contract.
1. YOu need to get birthcertificates and marriage licenses authenticated
2. You need to get your degree authenticated.
Read the thread

and you can find out what you need to do. It is a pain in the rear to arrange, but it can be done.
Of course you need to be offered a job first. |

Ok, I was "screened out" a few months ago for a position at HCT, and last week they sent me something asking me to complete a profile and apply for a specific job - the one I'd been screened out for.
Anyone know what's going on there? I'd assume if they'd screened me out and changed their minds they would just contact me, but maybe I'm wrong. |

Adorabilly's advice was spot on! Once I got my marriage and birth certs back from the states in which they were issued, I created a UPS account online. I made 3 address labels w/ that account: one label from me to the State Dept; one label from the State dept to the UAE embassy; one label from the UAE embassy back to me. I picked up the materials at the local UPS store. I nested two envelopes w/ the appropriate labels and simply asked the State Dept to place their final doc in there for the UAE. The UAE embassy expected the pre-paid courier label, so they knew what to do. That was 2 weeks ago, and they arrived yesterday w/ all the right stamps. It's a pain and it's expensive, but it worked! University degrees involve an extra step in there. BTW, I know we talked about getting a notary, but the UAE embassy website made no mention of the notary for birth and marriage certs or for uni degrees. The embassy authenticated the doc w/o it, so all is well. |

THey likely didn't end up w/ the candidates they were hoping in the first round, so you're in for the second! |
