Oh I've done it now. Long story but my wife and I are suppose to leave with our 3 small children on Monday to teach Overseas. First time ever and we are nervous and excited. Also just found out today that yesterday I tore my meniscus in my knee. Very painful and not sure what to do. If I stay here in the U.S. the surgery won't take place for a couple of weeks as they can't schedule it any earlier. I also was told I could opt to tough it out and fly to Singapore for our training and then get the surgery done there. Is the medical pretty good in Singapore? Wow what timing! Sure appreciate any advice you guys could give.
Thanks |

Medicine and medical practices are generally on par with the best in the world.
However, the price that you pay, especially for surgery, may be rather on the steep side.
If you intend to go to Singapore and have surgery there, you should be prepared to pay very dearly for it. Your insurance at home may not cover your medical bills in Singapore.
I hope this helps in some degree. |
