First of all, I would like to thank the posters for having been so helpful over the past few months. This board has really helped me.

I will be leaving in a few days and a large part of my teaching post will be heading the choir and music groups. My school is expecting me to bring my guitar, but as it turns out, it will cost several hundred dollars to ship.

Would it be inappropriate to ask them whether they would help me with shipping costs?
