I'm trying to figure out how to pay my Wells Fargo CC bill from Mexico with minimal/no fees. Wells Fargo does not have international relations but maybe BofA or something does. Anyone know of a couple banks that work together between the 2 countries? |

dont know of any.
I have a Wells Fargo card too and a checking account with them. I keep a sum in the checking account and pay the CC every month from that account. When my son comes to visit or someone else goes to the States, I give them some travelers checks in an addressed stamped envelope (have a stash of stamps) and ask them to mail it when they get there. Never had a problem with that yet.
In an emergency, you can mail travelers checks via DHL but put them in a sealed envelope first and DONT tell them they are travelers checks... they wont send them for some reason. Just state that they are documents (which is technically true). Address it to Wells Fargo, leaving out the word "bank" for good measure. This option will set you back 300 pesos or so, about 30USD
Wiring the money to your bank is more expensive. |

You can pay your American Express bill at Bancomer or HBSC. The banks nail you on the exchange rate and AMEX charges an additional 2%/ |

This doesn't help with Wells Fargo, but I learned today that Bank of America has a connection to Santander here in Mexico, making such transactions easier. |

I knew about that connection when I decided to have my US Social Security checks directly deposited in a BOA account, allowing me to withdraw funds here at any Santander money machine in pesos without incurring a service charge. But I don't know if I could make a deposit at a Santander bank here and have it end up in my BOA account in the States. |

I do everything online.
So when I get my electronic statement I simply transfer funds from my chequing account to my Visa account. Mind you, like MO39 I have pensions, and the pensions are deposited into my Canadian bank account, I suppose it would be different if my Visa and my bank account were in different countries.
I have switched to what is called a VIP account. It's relatively expensive ($20/month) but it will be my only monthly charge. There won't be any service charges at interac machines, no matter how many times I go to an ATM. This is of course for Canadian income. I don't have a clue what will happen once I begin earning money internationally. |

I only recently found out I could pay my VISA card bill (which I have through a U.S. credit union) online at MyCardStatement.com. The money comes from a Wells Fargo checking account.
I have a feeling mycardstatement.com works for a lot of different VISA cards, but I don't know about a Wells Fargo credit card.
You might try calling Wells Fargo (or the number for questions on your statement). That's how I found out about mycardstatement.com.
