Hi,
Thursday I had my second interview with AEON. The said they inform you either by calling or email within ten days. Now it's just dealing with the suspense.
Wish me luck. |

Best of luck to you.
Provided that you didn't act like a complete tool in your second interview I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. By far the most weeding is done after the group interview. Of the 8 people in my group session, only 3 of us were asked back. Of course, the more open you are about location etc is always a good thing but I found them to be very accommodating. I requested no kids classes in a medium sized metropolitan city and that's exactly what I got.
In case you're wondering, I had my second interview on a Thursday as well and I got the phone call the following Wednesday. |

Well congrats on getting through the interviews
I was told by a former employee that if your recruiter contacts your references it's a really good sign. I had my second interview on a Wednesday, my recruiter called my refs on the Thursday and I got the official job offer on the Tuesday. It took a little longer to get a placement as I had to wait for my convocation day, but I got essentially what I had preferred location wise. I had asked for somewhere somewhat northern, in a small to medium town at an A school. I got everything but the northern locale. I'm going to Fukushima-shi in November. From what I've heard from other teachers with Aeon, as long as you don't specifically ask for a certain city they usually try to get as close to what your preferences state (it can take a long time to get a placement in a specific town).
Congrats again and I hope you get the job. The waiting game can be killer, believe me, I've been waiting for a month now since I accepted a placement and I still have 3 months to go before I leave. |
