Six months and everything is as good as new. New Pres will fix everything like FEMA fixed all after a Cat. 3 hurricane hit the Gulf coast (Did I get that right?) |

Why worry? Mexico's 9 years of oil reserves will see us through this crisis and when Mexico starts to collapse, Her Holiness Palin will have everything fixed and we can all go to the US (please declare religion at US Customs checkpoint), welcome home! |

What do you think about the economic mess in the US? It seems to have really picked up steam this last week. President Bush is proposing a 700 billion dollar bailout of the financial market. WaMu bank collapsed and it was seized by the FEDS and sold for a few pennies. Investors lost everything, but depositors can still take their money out. It was the largest failure ever of a US bank. Jobless claims are at their highest level in 7 years. Even Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain made a joint appearence with Pres. Bush.
What's your take on all of this? |

I suspect (b): there won't be a Second Great Depression, but there will be a major recession that will take some time to get past. |
