Just a reminder for anyone coming over - the internet here is very expensive, and is a pain to use. My ISP only sporatically allows MSN or Yahoo Messanger, and recently it has started to foul up Skype as well. I was considering other internet service providers, but it seems that they all share the same problems.
I came here, knowing that there would be issues with expensive, unreliable internet connections. The problems were actually not so bad until August, but since then they have progressively gotten worse and worse.
Consider yourself warned. |

| I used use "Speedy" which really should be named "Slowly"... And now I'm using wireless Indosat IM2 which is alot faster even outside of Jakarta..... The other good thing is I can use it pretty much anywhere... The price is just under 400,000 per month... |

Me too. I have just upgraded to the 'unlimited' for the same price.
Nothing wrong with it: torrents, messenger, browsing - the lot. |

| I have Speedy and I have had pretty good luck so far. It's not DSL, but it is fairly fast and only around 200,000 month. Maybe I have better luck with it because I'm in an area where I don't think there are a ton of people online all the time.... I've also not run into any problems with messaging programs or Skype, though there is a bit of a delay when I make voice calls. |
