I have a trip planned to climb Izta, which I know at least a couple of you are interested in. I also have one of my students and a couple of his relatives coming. We've set the date for November 8th/9th. Leave DF early on the Sat morning, camp on the mountain overnight, summit in the morning, return Sun evening.

All that's needed are a decent pair of hiking boots, warm clothing (it can get very cold up on the mountain at night), tent, sleeping bag etc.

A hired guide is a possibility.

Who's game?

Would be good to see you there Phil. Do you know anyone who's ever climbed it? I've done a fair bit of research, but still have a few holes in the planning.

Don't know anyone, although someone from my school once climbed Popocatpetl! Which isn't allowed now. (Come to think of it, being British you may have heard of him - David Hemplemann Adams?) But I digress.
I will do a little research myself, I know many people who know people!
