I see that they advertise for positions on a daily basis. Is the turnover rate that high still?

Here's the scoop for those who might do a search in the near future.

As a business this place is run quite well. It attracts affluent Chinese who pay big bucks to learn English and is located in beautiful Guomao. You get a lot of freedom in teaching. You can show DVD's, go out to lunch with students, etc.

The problem is that they sort of con their English teachers. Very subtle but it's there. For example, they promised me a visa but kept pushing the date farther and farther into the future, changing the story, and asking me to do XYZ before being given the new visa.

Then they implemented a different pay system without agreement from their teachers. It went a little something like this:
You can get paid anywhere from 6,000-10,000 RMB but the amount is dependent on evaluations from students. Sounds ok in theory but it did not work so well in practice.
I worked my butt off and got an awesome score. So good, I suspect, that they threw the results out and decided not to implement the new system after all.

If you don't mind being manipulated and cheated, I can see someone working there for a while.
