Question 1: If you quit your full-time job, can you keep Shakai Hoken for any period after your final day? If so, for how long?
Question 2: If you apply for the advance payment Dependents Midwifery Expenses Reimbursement (出産育児一時金, 350,000 yen) under Shakai Hoken, then change to Kokumin Kenkou Hoken before the child is born, do things get all screwed up, and if so, how?
Hope somebody can provide some relevant info, though I am checking other resources as well (such as my employer).
Thanks... |

I believe the answer to #1 is no. When you stop working there, the insurance stops.
As for #2, see the ward office. |
