Do I need a TEFL "Certificate" to teach in Indonesia or would taking a 100hr TEFL course be enough to qualify me? I have a masters degree in counseling and 10 years experience working with children.

You could try applying to work as a counselor in one of the International Schools.

Do not waste your money on a TEFL cert.

Team is probably correct about counseling in Int. schools as a money earner.
If you want to teach English, you'd be required to have undergone some kind of EFL training. The more respected the certificate, the more schools would be likely to take you on. Simple really; it's getting pretty competitive now for any jobs that pay a half decent salary (and it usually is half).

Perhaps you could supplement your masters with an additional TESOL degree.
