I'm looking to come teach somewhere in East Asia before I go back to school in Fall '09. Therefore I cannot commit to a full one year contract, but anywhere from 6-9 months would work just fine. Is there any country, ie: Taiwan, Korea, China, SE Asia, where something like this would be possible? If so, through what website or recruiter?
If not, do you know of any other work possibilities that I could find? Or even subsidized volunteer opportunities? (ie: WWOOF, etc.) I looked at ski resort jobs but they seem to be nearly impossible to get for people not currently located in-country.
Thanks in advance! |

Westgate Corporation in Japan has 3- or 7-month contracts, but you need to be qualified to work for them.

I know someone who worked for Westgate for 3 months and then went 'woofing' in the North of Japan for a couple of months.
She learnt a lot more of the language and really enjoyed it.
Sounds like a good option. |
