Hi,

I know that most things I can get when I arrive in Cambodia such as food etc.

But what about decent ELT Reference materials such as pronunciation dictionary, grammar reference etc?

Am I likely to be buying that from Thailand, or Amazon UK and shipping it to PP ?

Also, is there a local equivalent medicine for Acid indigestion like Zantac or Gaviscon - this is the only health and well being concern I have?

Thanks for any advice or tips
Philip

Phnom Penh has a reasonable selection of TEFL and other educational materials, though not as good as Bangkok. If you require a specific title, better to bring it with you.

Pharmacies in Phnom Penh are well-stocked, cheaper than Thailand (and most other countries), and most will sell you virtually anything without a prescription. Take the original packaging to either City Pharmacy on Monivong - he is knowledgeable (trained pharmacist), ethical (no fakes or out-of-date drugs), and speaks pretty good English; or Penh Vong Pharmacy near Olympic - well-stocked, no fakes, slightly cheaper than the above but the assistants are untrained and speak little English. I guarantee you will be able to find either the medication you mention or a generic alternative, all at reasonable prices. City Pharmacy can generally obtain for you anything he does not have in stock within a couple of days.
