Does anyone have any information on bus services from Fintas/Mahboula area to the airport? Thanks in advance. |

Thinking of leaving already?
If you work there, my advice is don't take the bus- racist as it may seem, 'westerners' and locals do not use the bus service here and you may get a few odd looks- especially if you are female.
Why not get a car / driver / ask your employer to provide transport? |

I'm not being flippant, Zarathustra, but surely it's easier to take a cab to the airport? It may have gone up since I was there but Hawalli to the airport was KD5. Even if Fintas-airport is KD10, why bugger about with buses? |

Sorry, but I can't help you with the bus to the airport. I think 34 gets out that way. Just call the station and inquire. There is a bus station in Salmiya near the Holiday Inn or go downtown on the 999 to the end of the line near the Sheraton. There's a station around there.
I have never had trouble with the buses. Personally, I think the Kuwait buses and the ferry to the Island are some of the best travel deals in the Gulf. On a sweltering day in May, I can hop on a bus for a quarter of a KD or take a cab for a few KDs. I usually opt for the bus and soak in the local color and music. The other passengers probably envy me, because I hop on the bus and ride for a couple of stops rather than walk for a half an hour in the heat, but a quarter of a KD, for me, means "no sweat". There are women seats
up front.
That said, with all my baggage, I always take a cab to and from the airport. |
