Hello...
I have fourteen years experience, a CELTA and a business English teacher's diploma. I am taking the DELTA. The problem is that I never got my bachelor's- I have heard from many people that if you have enough experience and the DELTA you can be accepted into some Ma TESOL programs. Does anyone know anything about this?? I know I can get some credit towards a master's with the DELTA-
Thanks in a advance for any and all information. |

Where are you from, and what do you want to do with the Masters?
Several UK universities would fit the bill. Are you considering a distance or a presential program?
I'm doing my MSc through Aston University in Birmingham, and think they would consider you. Have also heard great things about the University of Birmingham, and Sheffield Hallam.
Best,

well, I am American. I ideally would like to teach in a university (probably outside of the US) I haven't really thought yet of whether I would pursue a regular MA program or a distance. What do you think? any ideas appreciated... |

sorry- forgot to write this in my last post... I would also like to get into teacher training- maybe a CELTA trainer, etc- The MA would also give me a shot at some jobs in some countries where I couldn't work otherwise. |

That is ample experience for you to be accepted on to a respectable MA program. The university (for example University of Birmingham, UK) might require that you submit a short report on some element of teaching English when you make the application.
You should have few problems selecting whichever MA course suits how and what you wish to study. The absence of the BA or BSc should not hinder you progress. |
