I'm brand new to this work. Am thinking of Pusan, Korea or Taipei/Taichung Taiwan for my first contract. I know there is a little more money in Korea, but I have heard it gets very boring in Korea. I've also heard that the people
in Taiwan are much more genuine and nice. Anyone been to both recently and can compare. Also anyone know about the nightlife in Taiwan, all I ever find is stuff about betel nut girls. How are the clubs and discos.

YOu'll have to post on the Korea forum for specific. BAsically, anywhere can be boring depending on what you consider boring. Put your mind to it and there are book shops, clubs, restaurants, theatres, cinema, parks pretty much all over the world. NOt to mention studying the language of your host country.
Personally, I'd love to be bored, I barely have time to do anything but work right now.

ASian clubs and discos are different than European or NOrth American ones, just dependson your taste. ANd there's more to just clubs and discos.

I've been to both places, check on the Taiwan forum as well. There are good and bad people in both countries.

I can't say much about the nightlife in Korea, only having visited there briefly. However, I know there is plenty of nightlife in Taipei and Taichung. Take a look at these pages for more information:

Consult these two webpages for links to a lot of informative articles about living and working in Korea and Taiwan:

Also, Kaohsiung (a city in southern Taiwan) has pretty good nightlife as well:
