|

I'm currently teaching English in Korea, but next year I'd actually like to learn something. I'm interested in studying Chinese full-time at one of the universities in Beijing, and I'd like to cut some of my living costs by teaching on the side. I have a couple of questions, and I hope someone here can give me more info. I've tried a search, but couldn't find anything useful.
1) How legal is it to teach on a student visa?
2) Are part-time gigs readily available?
3) How much can I realistically expect to make per hour by teaching part-time?
4) What kind of income per month is a living wage in Beijing?
Any info would be much appreciated. |

not legal although it may not be a problem when working at the school that u are attending...student are often paid less.. that is why they hire students ....and a living wage in Beijing is an argument .. but I would not op for any job paying less then 11 or 12... |

Thanks! I see a good wage is a lot more than I've been seeing advertised. Good to know. |

Many students teach on the side. Although it is illegal it is rarely enforced.....Here in Shenzhen about once a month something will be enforced here.......it seems to go on a rolling schedule.... |
