I am assisting in a TESOL project for Haiti. I would like to find out more about ELT providers in Port au Prince and about the condition of TESOL in Haiti generally.
Can you help? |

I haven't heard of any TEFL programmes in Haiti. BUt an employer might offer in house training. |

You could try posting your question on the Caribbean Forum - it's located just under the Asia Forums on the Job Discussion Forums home page |

I've never been, but recently worked with a teacher who was from Haiti. As I understand it, there isn't much of an economy to speak of, so the for profits just haven't set up there.
So there won''t be much by way of TESOL training or TESOL teaching going on- local universities with local (and locally trained) teachers will probably be your nearest equivalent.
I'll pass this thread to my friend...
Best,
Justin |
