Hello- So I have finished my esl training and am now starting school on monday teaching K1-P4 school kids- unfortunately I only see them once a week so I want to try and get as much in- while making it as fun as possible as well.
My real question at this time is about the K1-K3- I was not really introduced to a damn thing regarding teaching really young learners (4-8 year olds) and most of all the first day of school intimidates me- do I try to get them to play a game, if so what sort? Will they even have seen the alphabet before??? Until I get to meet them once or twice I really can't assess their level of english. If anyone reading this has taught young learners I would love some tips- thanks everyone! |
