| For only the second time in baseball history, the PHILLIES have won the World Series (I know, I know, it's not really a World Series..)!!! From now on, perhaps when I tell people here that I'm from Philadelphia, they won't get a blank look on their faces, and I won't have to explain that my birthplace is a large, historically-significant American city located between Washington and New York! |

| ...congrats also, to the Phillies...i lived 10 years in P.A. so i've got a bit of my heart there still. but didn't watch any of the series for lack of cable tv. |

Do you find yourself ever daydreaming about a REAL cheesesteak?
I don't have cable here in Mexico, but one of the regular Mexican TV stations shows the World Series every year, for which I am so grateful this year! |

...not to be negative or anything, but weren't the 2007 Patriots the best football team ever?
better doesn't matter -- it didn't at the 1980 Olympics for the young U.S. Hockey team, didn't matter for Buster Douglass (?) over Mike Tyson, and didn't matter for the RedSox down 0-3 games vs. NY with 2 innings to go...
sports has more luck than you think..... |
