Why do jobs say that one can survive and be comfortable in Prage on 14.000Krona per month when i guess it's not....
According to you people in prague how much do you need to survive in prague accomodation NOT included by the school. |

In my opinion it's not true, unless you are a Czech living in your granny's panelak.
At a guess, if you're having to take money out for accommo, I'd say 25,000 and up is enough for a reasonable lifestyle in Prague. Of course you can survive on less but what would be the point?
The cost of living in Czech is going through the roof and teacher's pay is not keeping pace with it.
I know/knew of dustmen (refuge collectors) in Brno making more money than I and I was teaching up to 40 hours a week.
As I've always said Prague is a great place to start your TEFL career, but not the place to make or save any money. |

i think it's survivable on 10k disposable income - that's pretty much the level my lazy ass is at. you don't have enough money for much fancy, but enough to socialise and have fun... |

Elliot,
Go for 20-25 K. It might also be helpful to move down here first and look for jobs on the street. you're not going to get too many hits if you search for jobs from abroad. |
