Search function doesn't seem to be working so Ill post this, apologies if its come up before............
I have a Bsc which was three years. However a couple of jobs Ive seen request "4 year degrees" actually I don't think there are any four year degrees in the UK, doctors, vets and dentists are 6 or seven years I think but most others are three years . I think I knew of only one four year degree - herbal medicine. This seems a bit odd, they would accept somebody with a herbal medicine degree but not an English language degree. Is this really a strict requirement , or will they accept good degrees if they are three years ? |

Your degree is just as valid as people's who have a 4-year one. Immigration knows that. There is no need to explain it to them or to an employer.
Many people give me resumes to proofread, and one thing I often tell them to do is NOT list the range of years they attended college. Just list the graduation year. This avoids the perceived hassles involved in 3- vs. 4-year degrees. |

It's the same for New Zealand, most non-professional degrees are 3 years. I got my working visa with my 3-year BA, so you have nothing to worry about. |
