Does anyone know what happened?
I went there this summer and it was closed....looked like the building was all covered and might be getting ready to be demolished or remodeled. I went by a couple months later and it was the same.
Called and no answer.
Anyone?
It's such a wonderful place....I spent many hours there last winter....maybe their building a new MANSION for all the embassy wives? |

if I am not mistaken, I think that was the onsen that exploded???
gas ignited and caused a huge explosion (due to poor methods / maintenance etc)
it is now closed |

I don't know about the Azabu Onsen, but the one that exploded last year was in Shibuya. They did do a major safety check of all onsen after that so, who knows, maybe this one didn't come up to scratch.
My guess though is that it's gone the same way as Yellow... The building was probably sold and will be redeveloped. |
